I'm leaving work early today to make a lasagna feast!

I don't know if in your area you call them CST's (childrens' services teams) but I was at one about a month ago for a very troubled child. He's in 4th and missing an average of 2 days per week (mother is mentally ill). Evidently he took the bathroom pass and went home. His teacher, who may be related to your coworker, stressed to me, not once, TWICE that he had TAKEN the pass with him - like it wouldn't really have been a problem if he'd been considerate enough to leave the pass propped up against the classroom door or something. Aaargh!

Bwhahahaha. In our district, they're called Child Study Teams. We just had one, and woo, it was a doozy. Actually, we just had two. In the first one we were basically told by the parent that the child doesn't like any of us, so we shouldn't expect him to do any work. Mmmmkay.

Most of our kids don't live close enough to walk. I guess I should be thankful for that.

And really, in fourth grade, they should know better than to take the pass home. I mean, what if some OTHER kid had needed to go to the bathroom or to go home?

Is it bad of me that when I was in HS I would take the bathroom pass home to pick up my shoes or some other 'vital' something I'd forgotten there?
